Choosing a personalised Parker pen

Which is the best pen for doctors on the ward?
On the ward you want a pen that clips into a pocket, survives being dropped and lent out, and writes every time. The Parker Jotter is the one most people pick: a slim ballpoint with chrome trim, in seven colours, with black or blue ink. If you prefer something thicker to hold during a long day of notes, the Jotter XL Monochrome has a larger barrel and writes in blue. Both write in blue, and the standard Jotter also comes in black ink.
Can I get a Parker pen engraved with a name?
Yes. The Jotter, Jotter XL Monochrome and Vector XL come with free name engraving from WiZmed, so a personalised pen costs the same as a plain one. Add the name when you choose your options. A name on the barrel also makes it far more likely that a borrowed pen finds its way back to you. Engraved pens are also a simple bulk gift for a class, a ward team or a graduating year.
Ballpoint or fountain pen?
A ballpoint is the practical choice for ward notes, forms and carbon copies. A fountain pen is for people who enjoy writing by hand. The Vector XL is a fountain pen with a stainless steel nib and a larger barrel, in Black, Teal or Lilac, and it comes with a blue ink cartridge. The Jotter is also available as a fountain pen. Fountain pens need a little care: keep the cap on when the pen is not in use so the nib does not dry out.
A Parker pen as a graduation gift

Ink for Parker fountain pens
Parker Quink black comes as a pack of five cartridges, a black alternative to the blue cartridge supplied with the Vector XL, or as a 57 ml bottle for fountain pens filled with a converter. Cartridges are the clean, quick option to change between lectures or on a shift. The bottle needs a converter but holds far more ink. Quink is a permanent, smooth-writing ink.

Is engraving free?
Yes, on the Parker Jotter, Jotter XL Monochrome and Vector XL. Name engraving is included in the price; you add the name when you choose your options.
Can I get a Parker pen that writes in black ink?
Yes. The Parker Jotter is available with black or blue ink. The Jotter XL, Vector XL and IM Vibrant Rings write in blue. For fountain pens, Quink black cartridges and bottled ink are sold separately.
What is the difference between the Jotter and the Jotter XL?
The Jotter XL Monochrome has a larger barrel, a single-colour finish in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver or Black, and a gift box. It is a blue-ink ballpoint. The standard Jotter has chrome trim, seven colours, and comes as a ballpoint or fountain pen.
Which Parker pen makes a good graduation gift?
