The UCT MBChB Resources Hub is a free Notion dashboard from WiZmed that puts lecture notes, past exam questions, Anki decks and clinical guidelines for every year of the degree in one place. It is live now at wizmed.notion.site/uct-mbchb-resources-hub.
The short answer
- What: a Notion dashboard for everything academic at UCT Health Sciences.
- Who: First to Sixth Year MBChB students, clinical partners and study group leads.
- Inside: notes by year and block, recalled exam questions, Anki decks and ward cheat sheets.
- Built by UCT students, and anyone can contribute.
Why we built it
Keeping track of lectures, notes, Anki decks, past paper questions and clinical guidelines through medical school is overwhelming. Most of it lives in old WhatsApp threads and scattered Google Drives. The hub gathers it into one searchable, organised dashboard.
“We believe medical education should be collaborative, digital, and efficient, not chaotic.”
What’s inside
- Block-by-block breakdown: notes and links arranged by each MBChB year and block.
- Past exam questions: a community-curated memory bank of recalled questions.
- Shared Anki decks: student-made, high-yield decks in one place.
- Clinical cheat sheets: hospital survival tools and ward-ready quick references.
- Crowdsourced contributions: add your own notes, templates and tips.

Why it matters
- Built for UCT students, by UCT students, so it reflects how we actually learn and revise.
- No more scrambling through old WhatsApp threads or Google Drives.
- Accessible, searchable and organised, with everything at your fingertips.
Who should use it?
- First to Sixth Year MBChB students.
- Clinical partners preparing for ward exams.
- Study group leads compiling content.
- Anyone who wants a head start on exams.
Kit for the ward years
The cheat sheets in the hub pair well with something in your pocket. Our 7-Step ECG ruler has a rate scale, rhythm checklist and axis quadrant, and the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine is the pocket guide for the wards and on call. For what each year needs, see our medical student equipment list.
