Which Welch Allyn bulb do I need?
Match the bulb to your instrument's model number, printed on the set's box and in its product listing. Here is what fits what.
Bulbs by instrument
Pocket Junior 22841 otoscope: 03400. Professional Plus 97250-BI (halogen): 03100-U for the otoscope and 04900-U for the ophthalmoscope. Professional Plus 97250-BIL (LED): 03100-LED for the otoscope and 04900-LED for the ophthalmoscope. Halogen and LED lamps are not interchangeable, so check whether your set ends in BI or BIL before ordering. Switch the instrument off and let a halogen bulb cool before you change it. Keeping a spare in your case saves a dark clinic if one fails mid-session.

Specula and handles
The Welch Allyn 24400-U set gives one reusable speculum each in 2.5, 3, 4 and 5 mm, for Diagnostic and MacroView otoscopes. Diagnostic set handles come as a C-cell battery handle or a Li-ion rechargeable handle with AC or USB-C charging. The rechargeable handles save buying C batteries if you use your set every day. If you are not sure which handle fits your heads, send us your set model number before ordering. Spare specula are worth having when one set is out for cleaning.

Before you buy
How do I know if my otoscope is halogen or LED?
Check the model number. A 97250-BI set is halogen and a 97250-BIL set is LED. The Pocket Junior 22841 is halogen and takes the 03400 bulb.
Do these bulbs fit other brands?
These are genuine Welch Allyn lamps made for the Welch Allyn instruments named in each listing. We do not list them as fitting other brands.
Are the specula reusable?
Yes. The 24400-U specula are reusable. Clean them between patients according to your facility's infection-control policy.
