Clinical consumables and refills
These are the everyday disposables for practices, clinics and student kits, plus refills for kit you already own.
ECG electrodes and peak flow
Our disposable ECG electrodes come 50 to a pack, with an Ag/AgCl sensor and a universal stud connector that fits most lead wires. A 12-lead ECG uses 10 electrodes, so one pack covers several recordings. For respiratory clinics, the Rossmax PF120A peak flow meter reads 60–800 L/min with green, yellow and red zones. It takes single-use mouthpieces, sold in bags of 100, so the meter can be shared between patients. Use one mouthpiece per patient.

Examination disposables
For examinations, we stock powder-free nitrile gloves (box of 100, size Medium), wooden tongue depressors, 70% isopropyl alcohol swabs and non-sterile cotton gauze. For gynaecological examinations, single-use vaginal specula come in cases of 100 in Small and Medium, and the five-petal Bouquet speculum opens concentrically for a full view of the cervix. The gloves are ambidextrous and fully textured with a beaded cuff. The alcohol swabs are 30 x 30 mm, 200 to a box. Tongue depressors come 100 to a pack, 15 cm long with rounded ends.
Batteries and spares
Pupil torches and many small diagnostic devices run on AAA or AA cells, so we sell Energizer batteries in pairs. Keep a spare set in your bag. Welch Allyn otoscope users can replace lost specula with the 24400-U set of four reusable sizes, 2.5 to 5 mm. CPR face shields and airway kits are listed here too, and in more detail on the emergency page.
